In Memoriam: Dr. Leonardo DiVagno

With deep sadness, we announce the passing of Dr. Leonardo DiVagno on September 1, 2024. Dr. DiVagno, who was born on December 10, 1961, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his loved ones.

Dr. DiVagno was a highly esteemed cardiologist, board certified by the American College of Cardiology. Over his distinguished career of more than 15 years, he provided world-class care to each of his patients. Fluent in Italian, Spanish, and English, he was dedicated to ensuring that healthcare was accessible to all and was known for his unwavering commitment to his patients' well-being.

His legacy of compassion and excellence will be remembered fondly by all who had the privilege of working with him and being cared for by him.

Dr. Huazhen Chen, MD,FACC

Dr. Huazhen Chen, MD, FACC, is a cardiologist specializing in both general and interventional cardiology. His expertise covers a range of conditions including coronary artery disease, heart failure, heart rhythm disorders, and valvular disease. He earned his MD from the University of Connecticut School of Medicine and completed his residency in internal medicine and cardiovascular fellowship at Mount Sinai Hospital. He further specialized with an interventional cardiology fellowship at Mount Sinai Morningside. Dr. Chen is a member of the American College of Cardiology and the American College of Physicians. Fluent in Chinese, he joined Englewood Health Physician Network in 2024. His practice includes a variety of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures such as cardiac catheterization, echocardiography, and stress testing, and he treats conditions like angina, arrhythmias, and heart valve disease.

Rebecca Parada, PA-C

Rebecca Parada is a Certified Physician Assistant. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology from Montclair State University and later obtained a Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Seton Hall University. Rebecca holds privileges at Hackensack University Medical Center, Englewood Health Medical Center, and Holy Name Hospital.

Dr. Jaehoon Chung, MD, FACC

Dr. Jaehoon Chung, MD, FACC, is a distinguished cardiology specialist with advanced training from the University of Pittsburgh, the University of Illinois, and Stanford University. Certified in diagnostic cardiac MRI and cardiac CT, he stands out for his expertise in these specialized areas. Fluent in both English and Korean, Dr. Chung is committed to delivering thoughtful and empathetic care, ensuring each patient receives personalized attention and support.

Dr. Omar S. Hasan, MD, FACC

Dr. Oman Hasan, MD, FACC, educated in Bangladesh and trained in the UK and the United States, offers a distinctive approach to healthcare. With expertise in general cardiology, TAVR, interventional cardiology, and nuclear cardiology, Dr. Hasan combines his extensive experience from both hospital and private practice settings to provide each patient with exceptional care.
